SafetyCommunity rules

Safe by design,human by choice.

HEAL works because members trust each other. These rules protect that trust — and they’re enforced by people, not just filters.

HEAL is not an emergency service and is not monitored around the clock. If you or someone else is in danger, call 911. For a mental health or substance use crisis, call or text 988.

Community rules

Six rules,no exceptions.

Lead with kindness

No harassment, shaming, bullying or discrimination. Disagree gently; everyone here is working on something.

What’s shared here stays here

Never share someone’s story, identity, location or contact details. No recording or screenshots of meetings.

No selling or solicitation

No recruiting for treatment centers or sober homes, no referral deals, no products, no MLMs. This one is strictly enforced.

Experience, not advice

Share what worked for you, but no medical, medication, detox or legal directions. Those belong with professionals.

No predatory behavior

No romantic or financial pursuit of vulnerable members, no doxxing, no spam or scams.

Point toward real help

If someone may be in danger, encourage them to call 988 or 911 and report it so a person on our team can look.

Reporting & moderation

See something?Say something.

Anything can be reported from inside the app without exposing private content publicly. Reports are reviewed by people, prioritized by risk.

Moderators can hide content, warn, remove someone from a meeting, or suspend an account. Decisions can be appealed by emailing support@teleheal.com.

Privacy

Your story isyours to tell.

Pseudonymous by default

Use any name you like and a non-photo avatar.

Private by default

Meeting attendance, help needs and workbook entries are never public.

No sensitive push previews

Notifications never include workbook prompts or meeting participation.

No data sales, ever

And no ads targeted at people because they’re struggling.

What HEAL is not

HEAL isn’t a sponsor, clinician, therapist, crisis line or emergency monitoring service, and it doesn’t replace professional judgment. Peer support works best alongside qualified care — and when something is urgent, the right move is always to call for help.
