Daily check-inEvery dayYour pace

One gentle question.No streaks attached.

How are you feeling right now? Tap a face, note anything that helped, and get on with your day. Over time, a soft trail shows how things have been — without counting what you missed.

Three parts, all gentle

Tap a face.That’s enough.

The only required step is the first one. Everything after it is there if you want it.

Try it · nothing is saved

Anything that helped today? (optional)

In the app this would save “good” and 1 practice for today.

Anything that helped today?

  • Workbook
  • Moved my body
  • Gratitude
  • Connected with someone
  • Went to a meeting
  • Rested

Practices are a gentle record, not a checklist. Over time you might notice which ones show up on your better days.

Once a dayOne check-in per day. Changed your mind? Update it — today’s answer is replaced, not stacked.
Your own time zone“Today” is your today, wherever you are, so a late-night check-in counts for the right day.
Note sealed, mood privateNotes are AES-256 encrypted. Choosing “Struggling” doesn’t alert anyone — it’s yours.

What you’ll see

  • A line through the days you checked in
  • Days you checked in, as a simple count
  • Exercises started and finished
  • Meetings you’ve joined

What you’ll never see

  • Streak counters or “days in a row”
  • “You broke your streak” messages
  • Scores, levels or leaderboards
  • Anyone else’s moods — or yours shown to them

Recovery isn’t a game you win by not missing a day. A streak turns one hard day into a loss — and that’s the last thing anyone needs on a hard day. So HEAL doesn’t keep one.

Quick check-in

Two seconds,from anywhere.

In the HEAL desktop app for Windows and macOS, press Ctrl+Shift+H (or ⌘+Shift+H on a Mac) from any app. A small check-in window opens on top, you tap a face, and it’s gone.

It’s also in the tray menu, under “Daily check-in”. The desktop app is still in development and will launch with HEAL — until then, the check-in lives on your home screen in the web app.

If today is a struggle, reach a person.

A check-in is private, so nobody is notified when you choose “Struggling”. If you need someone now, these lines answer around the clock. You can also find a live meeting or write a staying-well plan in the workbook.

The daily check-in comes with every free HEAL account — on the web today, and on phone and desktop as they launch.
